[YDD] Simple Process To Help Drivers Improve

Published about 2 years ago • 1 min read

Hello Reader,

Every driver can improve. There is so much to driving fast on track that knowing where to start can feel overwhelming. The role of a driver coach is to help you breakdown the complexity. To simplify what to do and to help you prioritise what to do next. Part of this is to create a simple process that allows driver and coach to work together effectively.

Jim Kearney is a US based driver coach. His processes have been refined with a number of drivers over many years. He joined me in the podcast to talk about his experiences and put forward a number of simple things you can do as a driver to help you improve.

Take a listen at the shareable link below:

It was a real pleasure to have Jim on the show and I hope you enjoy listening to what he has to say.

How do you approach driver improvement? Does any of what Jim says ring true for you? Or perhaps you've a different experience on what works. Hit reply and let me know.

Keep learning to go faster,

Samir

Hello Reader, We are not born with an ingrained ability to learn a race track. But knowing the race circuit (really) well is essential to you being fast. Yet learning takes time. Time you may not have for extra testing days or extended simulator sessions. You can just hope for the best. Try to figure things out as you go along. Or, you can try some preparation beforehand – like reading written guides, studying track maps and watching online videos. This weeks article is about levelling up...
